History

IMS Shipyard, 25 years experience and stature

IMS was founded in 1987 for the construction of aluminium passenger transport boats. Since 1992, refit & repair has been the shipyard’s primary activity.

Headed by Denis Carabin since 2019, the company has been held by the French holding company NEPTEAM since 2011.

Since 2005, the shipyard has been the official Customer-Service base for several major internationally recognised yacht builders.

IMS Shipyard has established itself as a leading player in the industry, particularly appreciated for its responsible attitude, the quality of its work, the relationships it establishes with its clients and its capacity to respect quotes and delivery dates.

In 2014, IMS Shipyard reaches a turning point in its history, expanding its offer and its accommodation capacity on its two sites IMS 300 and IMS 700, just 5 km distance apart.

With this extension on the IMS 700 site, the shipyard multiplies its total surface area and accommodation capacity by five.

The IMS 700 site is installed on a former naval air base: the St-Mandrier BAN.
